How to be more mindful in 7 days

Mindfulness is a term that is around for a long time but in essence it means to be focused on the now which will help to reduce anxiety and have a happier, more balanced mind.

I created a 7-day Mindfulness challenge that is available in the Online Community. But if you are not part of that community, I want to share the main steps for you here:

  • Mindful eating
  • Meditation
  • Mindful walk
  • Mindful Yoga
  • Mindful listening
  • Mindful thinking
  • Mindfulness day
  • Mindful eating

This is a common practice to get into mindfulness a bit more. You take a piece of fruit – usually a raisin or apple and eat it very mindfully by chewing it for a long time.

Meditation

Meditation is a big part of mindfulness. It can be hard to get started with it because most people think it is about sitting still with an empty mind for hours. But it’s not. It is about practicing being present and acknowledging what is happening.

Mindful walk

Realising all the things around you by walking slowly, even barefoot if you can, helps you to see new things and put things into a different perspective.

Mindful listening

Often we are in conversations but don’t really listen to what the other person isaying. And most of the time we also don’t know what we are saying to ourselves which quickly can lead to negativity. Learn to listen to others and yourself.

Mindful Day

Having an entire day just for you and your thoughts can spark creativity and inspiration for new things. D an entire day of digital detoxing, full of yoga and meditation. It will change your mind.
